Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Lormark Ltd collects, why, how long it is kept, and how to have it deleted. It covers the Lormark website and three of our mobile apps:
- LomarkTrack — activity recording and mapping
- Lormark Solitaire & Card Games — eleven card games
- Lormark Games — Sudoku, Reversi, Draughts and Backgammon
Lormark Papas Games — the jigsaw and word games for young children — has its own privacy policy. It is not covered here, because unlike the two apps above it carries no advertising at all and requests no internet access, so nothing on this page about advertising or advertising identifiers applies to it.
They work very differently, so each has its own section below. LomarkTrack records your activities and needs real personal data to do so, and carries no advertising at all. The two games apps are the opposite: they collect nothing about you whatsoever, but they are free and supported by advertising, which involves Google. The two games apps behave identically to one another, so one section covers both.
Who is responsible

LomarkTrack
What it collects
- Precise location, including in the background. While an activity is recording, LomarkTrack collects your location continuously - including when the screen is off, the phone is in your pocket, or you are using another app. This is what draws the route of your activity on the map, and the app cannot do its job without it. A notification stays visible for as long as recording is active. Location is collected only between pressing Start and pressing Stop; it is never collected when no activity is being recorded.
- Photos you choose to attach to an activity, together with the location and time at which they were taken. The app only ever accesses a photo you explicitly capture or select.
- Account details - your email address and the name you give - used to sign you in and to keep your activities associated with you.
- Activity statistics derived from the above: distance, duration, speed and elevation.
What is done with it
Recorded activities and photos are stored on your phone and uploaded to your Lormark account so they are not lost if you lose or replace the device, and so you can view them on this website. Your data is used only to provide the app's own features.
We do not sell your personal data. Nothing collected by LomarkTrack is shared with third parties for advertising or profiling, and LomarkTrack contains no advertising of any kind. Your recorded activities are private to your account unless you deliberately create a share link for one.
That statement is about LomarkTrack specifically. The games apps are ad-supported, and are covered in their own section below.
Map data
Displaying maps requires requesting map tiles for the area you are viewing from third-party map providers (OpenTopoMap, Esri and Ordnance Survey). Those requests necessarily reveal the map area being viewed to the provider concerned. Tiles are cached on your device so previously-viewed areas keep working offline.
The games apps
Lormark Solitaire & Card Games, and Lormark Games.
What they collect
Nothing. Neither games app has an account system, a login, or a registration step. Neither contains analytics or crash reporting. They do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, or location — and there is no mechanism in either by which we could.
There is no online play, no leaderboard, no chat and no user-generated content, so there is no way to send anything to another player, to us, or to anybody else.
What is stored on your device
Each games app saves your progress locally so you can pick up where you left off: the game in progress, your chosen difficulty, running scores, win and loss records, and best times.
This never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see it. Each game is saved separately, so the Reset button inside a game clears that game and leaves the others alone. Uninstalling an app clears all of its data.
Advertising
Advertising in the games apps is supplied by Google AdMob, and is what pays for them. There are two kinds:
- A banner along the bottom of the screen. It never covers the board or the cards, and never interrupts a game.
- Occasionally a full-screen advertisement between games, shown only when you choose to start another game after finishing one. It never interrupts a game in progress, and never appears when you open the app.
Neither kind is given anything about you beyond the advertising ID described next. Nothing about how you play, what you score, or which games you choose is sent anywhere.
To choose which advertisements to show, Google may use your device's advertising ID — a resettable identifier that is not tied to your name or any other personal detail — together with technical information such as your device type, approximate region, and the app in use. This processing is carried out by Google as an independent controller, not by us. We do not receive, store, or have access to any of it.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or turn off ad personalisation entirely, in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Turning it off does not stop the app working; you will simply see less relevant advertisements.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you are asked for your consent choices before any personalised advertising is shown, using Google's certified consent prompt. You can change those choices at any time from the Privacy options item on the app's menu.
Permissions
Each games app requests internet and network-state access, and declares the advertising ID permission. These are used only for loading advertisements — every game in both apps is fully playable offline, including in aeroplane mode. They request no other permissions, and cannot see your location, camera, microphone, contacts, or files.
All three apps
How long data is kept
Your LomarkTrack account and its activities are kept for as long as your account exists. Deleting an individual activity removes it and its photos from your account. Deleting your account removes everything, as below.
The games apps hold nothing on our side to keep — their saved games live only on your device, and are gone when you uninstall.
Deleting your data
You can delete an individual LomarkTrack activity at any time from within the app. To delete your entire account and all data associated with it, either use Delete Account in the app, or use the web form at lormark.co.uk/Assets/Access/delete-account.html.
Account deletion is immediate and irreversible. It removes your account, your recorded activities and their location points, your uploaded photos and their image files, and any group memberships. You do not need the app installed to use the web form.
The games apps have no account and nothing to delete on our side. Uninstalling clears everything they hold.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export or erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Email info@lormark.co.uk and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
For the games apps there is nothing on our side to exercise those rights against, because we receive nothing. For advertising data processed by Google, use the Google links above or your device's advertising settings.
Security
Passwords are stored only as salted one-way hashes and are never recoverable in readable form. Traffic between the app and our servers uses HTTPS. Sessions use short-lived tokens that can be revoked.
Children
LomarkTrack is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
The games apps are general-audience apps, and some games in them (Pairs and Old Maid) are intended to suit young children. Neither is directed at children under 13 as its primary audience, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. Neither contains chat, user-generated content, or any way to communicate with other users.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated date above will change. Where a change affects what an app collects, you will be asked to review it in that app, and it will be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
